3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, we process your personal information only when a valid legal basis applies. Depending on the situation, this may include:

When processing your information is necessary to provide the Service — for example, storing your resume documents, maintaining your subscription, or enabling account access.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate Wensa:
Service Providers
Supabase — stores user account data and your resume documents.
Vercel — hosts our website and application infrastructure.
Stripe — processes subscription payments. We do not receive or store your card details.
Posthog — provides anonymized analytics used to understand product usage and improve the Service.
These providers process your data only on our behalf and according to our instructions.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose limited information if required to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, or respond to lawful requests (such as a court order).
Business Transfers
If Wensa is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You would be notified of any such change.
5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We do not use traditional cookies for advertising, tracking, or personalization.
Our Service may use essential, non-identifying technologies (such as local storage) to enable core functionality like authentication and saving your preferences.
We also use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general usage trends. This analytics data is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify you. You can control or disable browser storage features in your settings.
6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
We allow users to sign in using Google (OAuth). When you choose this option, Google shares only the basic profile details you consent to provide — typically your name, email address, and profile image. We do not receive your Google password or access your Gmail, contacts, or files.
This information is used solely to create and authenticate your account. You can revoke Wensa’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your documents and personal data from Supabase, except for limited technical logs kept temporarily for security and operational purposes.
If complete deletion is not immediately possible (e.g., data stored in automated backups), it will be removed automatically once those backups expire.
If you revoke Google login access, we can no longer authenticate your account, and you may request full account deletion at any time by emailing hello@wensaresume.com.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure hosting environments (Vercel and Supabase), encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Data stored in Supabase is protected by their security and compliance practices. We do not store payment card details or passwords on our servers.
Transmission of data over the internet always carries some risk, and we encourage you to use Wensa only on trusted devices and secure connections.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. By using Wensa, you confirm that you are at least 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete the account and associated information.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link inside those messages.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Wensa account and stored documents by contacting us. After deletion, some data (e.g., payment metadata stored by Stripe) may remain in third-party systems where required by law, but we do not control this information.
11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a DoNot-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
